Timothy J Sleight, 43, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019, in Hooper, Utah. He was born on March 14, 1976 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Dwight Ezra Sleight and Teresa Jones Moore.Tim grew up in Pocatello, Idaho, and finished his schooling in Logan, Utah while working for his father at Logan Laundry. It was there he developed his strong, family work ethic. After high school he followed in the footsteps of his Grandpa Sleight and began working construction. Tim had an innate talent for building. He even owned his own construction business, TJ Contracting, for a time. He shared his talents with many family members, finishing projects that they will cherish and remember him by, for years to come.Tim enjoyed playing the drums and guitar, and played in his band Leviticus. He also enjoyed skateboarding and even built his own half-pipe in the backyard. Tim was very creative and loved to invent and build, especially when it involved LED lights.Tim’s greatest pride and joy was his son Brennon “Buggy”. He was so proud of Brennon and loved to spend time watching movies, driving RC cars, and flying quadcopters with him whenever they had the chance.Tim is survived by his son, Brennon Timothy Sleight, of Layton, Utah, his mother Teresa (Ricky) Moore, of Hooper, Utah; siblings Scott (Amber) Sleight, of Millville, Utah, Stephanie (Kevin) Kissner, of Alma, West Virginia, Andrea (Randy) Jones, of West Point, Utah, Heidi (Kyler) Benson, of Roy, Utah, Blake (Alison) Sleight, of Burbank, California, Jackie (Bryce) Jacobson, of West Weber, Utah, Rodney (Sarah) Moore, of West Point, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Sleight, and grandparents.Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Hooper Stake Center, 5375 South 5900 West, Hooper, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Interment and grave dedication will be at the Hooper Cemetery following funeral services.
