Our beloved family patriarch Thomas “Kent” Cowlishaw went home to Jesus on February 22, 2022 at the age of 82.\n\nKent was born to George and Louise Cowlishaw on March 27, 1939 in Ogden, Utah, the third youngest of seven siblings. Kent met the love of his life and soulmate, Sharon Chase, in 1955, they married in 1956 at the young ages of 17 and 14, and went on to have four children, Jeff, Ronnie, Darrel, and Shelly.\n\nKent joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and served his country proudly. With his family in tow throughout his service, they had many adventures in places like the Bermuda Islands, where they spent the majority of his deployment. After his honorable discharge from the service, Kent began his career as a truck driver, joining the Teamsters Union and retiring at the age of 55. \n\nKent made his home in North Ogden, where he raised his family and loved & cherished his wife, Sharon. Kent was not only a loving husband, father, and grandfather, but he had a huge heart, having adopted and raised several children as his own, including his great-grandson Bryan Jr., who recently passed as well.\n\nKent was a devout Born Again Christian, a man of faith, and he served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until his last days on this earth. Kent was known throughout the Ogden area for his service to the Lord and to his church for feeding the masses, as he donated his free time to the church pantries delivering food to those in need. All of the children at his church referred to him as grandpa and he always had suckers in hand to give to the little ones.\n\nKent will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but none so more than his wife of 65 years, Sharon Cowlishaw, his “Queen”.\n\nKent Joins his parents, six of his siblings, and two of his grandchildren in heaven. Kent is survived by his wife Sharon Cowlishaw, sister, Carol (Don) Patche, Jeff (Florie) Cowlishaw, Ronnie Cowlishaw, Darrel Cowlishaw, Shelly (Lloyd) Gettings, adopted children Murphy Williams, Lee Cowlishaw, Rose Cowlishaw, and Dominic Cowlishaw, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.\n\nServices will be held March 12, 1:00 at Northview Church 3615 N UT-126, Farr West, UT 84404 Highway 89 by Smith and Edwards\n\nJohn 14:2\n\n In my Father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
