Tamra Kay Champion passed away peacefully at her home Monday October 31, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Tamra was born Nov. 18, 1940 in Ogden, Utah and was raised by her parents James Henry and Nellie Gray McBride. \n\nTamra attended Ben Lomond High School where she was a Majorette of the Marching Band. She could twirl the baton like no one else. In 1957, she met the love of her life, Douglas Walter Champion, and they spent 64 wonderful years together. During that time they raised three children, Jill (Rich) LaFeber, Bret (Carrie) Champion, and Julie (Kent) Argyle.\n\nTamra loved life and her family was the most important aspect of that life. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to travel and enjoyed camping in many places which included Yellowstone in the summer and San Diego in the winter. She loved her trips to Wendover and was occasionally a lucky winner.\n\nTamra had a smile that could light up your life. She appreciated the little things and was always there to listen if you needed to talk. She was feisty, kind and an incredible friend.\n\nTamra is survived by her 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and both of her siblings. \n\nGraveside services will be held at the Ogden City Cemetery Thursday Nov. 9, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
