With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sunday Rendon, who departed this life on April 1, 2024. Born on January 17, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, Sunday lived a life filled with joy, love, and dedication to his family and friends. His name was not just a name but a reflection of his spirit - vibrant, warm, and radiant like a Sunday morning. As Maya Angelou once said, "Nothing can dim the light that shines from within," and Sunday was the personification of that unquenchable light. Sunday moved to Ogden, Utah, where he created a loving home filled with laughter, wisdom, and countless memories. He was an inspiring figure to everyone he met, touching lives with his kindness and compassion. Sunday had a heart that knew no bounds, and his generosity of spirit was matched only by the strength of his character. He was a retired professional who dedicated his life to the service of others, making a significant impact in his community. In the words of Albert Einstein, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile," and Sunday truly led a worthwhile life. Sunday is survived by his loving wife, Lina Rendon, who he married on December 5, 2023. He also leaves behind his beloved granddaughter, Sandy Rodriguez, and his siblings Mary Perez, Josie Machuca, John Rendon, Audelia Rendon, Margaret Rendon, Janie Rendon, and Mary Hill. His brother-in-law, Gene Boileau, also survives him. Sunday was preceded in death by his parents, Sunday and Perfecta Rendon, and his sisters Mary Boileau and Pat Hernandes.
