Rulon Joel Bright, 67, of Downey, Idaho passed away October 20, 2021, in Ogden, Utah. He died from complications of Covid Pneumonia surrounded by his family.\n\nHe was born on December 3, 1953, in Downey, Idaho to Rulon and Mary Bright. He was raised in Bountiful, Utah.\n\nJoel married his forever love Nancy Singley on September 12, 2003. They enjoyed spending time together, taking rides, reading scriptures, watching tv, and laughing.\n\nJoel loved old western movies, listening to “oldies but goodies”, collecting antiques, reading, fishing, camping, his chocolate, and spending time with his family. We will miss his humor and his signature “love you”.\n\nHe is survived by his wife Nancy, his children, Tom (Allyson) Bright, Jake (Jen) Bright, Lacey (Craig) Park, Kristina (Brad) Voshell, Melissa (Scott) Smith, and Preston Bright, stepchildren, Megan, Latisha, Brock, Kyle, and Whitney. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister, Carolyn (Richard) Luckau and many nieces and nephews who love their uncle Joel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers David and John Bright, and Nephew Brian Luckau.\n\nThere will be a family greeting at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral services to be held at the LDS ward House, 310 E.
