Roberta Rae Hood “Bobbie”, 65, passed away Oct. 13, 2017 at Ogden Regional Medical Center in South Ogden, UT with family by her side. She was born Nov. 4, 1951 in Ishpeming, MI to Wilfred Myron and Gloria Marie LaCrosse Clavell. She grew up in Republic, MI and received her education by attending Republic-Michigamme School.She married Douglas Gurnoe and they later divorced. She married George Mattson and they later divorced. She married James Hood and they later divorced but remained together for 31 years as friends and companions.“Bobbie” was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked for many years as a CNA in Hospice. She worked for Walmart as a Cashier until her health declined and had to stop working. She loved crafting and doing bead work and crocheting. She loved to cook and was an excellent baker. She had a spunky personality and was very outgoing and independent. She often spoke her mind.She is survived by her Children: Margaret Mattson, Douglas Mattson, Gloria Powell (Jeremy), Rita Sandoval (Gustavo), James Hood, Jr., Sandra Gomes (Christopher); 14 Grandchildren; Siblings: Albert Clavell (TJ), Phylis Austinson (Dwayne), Fred Clavell (Moyon). She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant Brother.The family would like to express appreciation to the Doctors and Staff of the University of Utah Transplant Center, especially Kelly and Tani for their care given to Roberta.A visitation to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 from 1-3p.m. at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.
