Ogden – Robert “Clair” Allen entered into sleep in the memory of Jehovah on July 7, 2016 at Legacy House of Ogden with his family by his side. He was born January 8, 1931 in Fielding, UT to David Vinson and Hazel Farnsworth Allen. He Married Joan O’Neal in Perry, UT on January 13, 1962. They had 3 daughters together: Janet, Terri, Roberta and 3 daughters Joan brought from her previous marriage: Sue Dele, Glenda and Gloria.Clair grew up in Perry and was educated in Box Elder Schools and attended Box Elder High School. He spent most of his adult life residing in the Ogden area. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.He owned and operated Allen Auto Parts in Brigham City. Upon closing the business, he furthered his career as an Auto Parts Specialist with Northern Auto Parts and Johnson Motors. In 1980 he moved to Lost Hills, Ca and was employed by Blackwell Inc., he was also on the Volunteer Fire Dept. The family returned to Utah in 1994. He also took care of all the Maintenance for his daughter Janet’s Early Education Business. He always made sure things were in working order. He had an exceptional work ethic. Upon retirement he continued working. He worked at Wolf Mountain as a Ski Lift Operator and was in charge of the greens at Wolf Creek Golf Course for many years.Clair Loved Dancing, Flying Airplanes, playing Pool and Race Cars. He loved the game of Golf. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Jazz Fan.He is survived by his loving and devoted Wife Joan; Children: Janet Allen Salazar (Don), Roberta Allen, Sue Dele Fowler (Wayne), Glenda Ventimiglia (Craig), Gloria Singer; Siblings: David Neil Allen (Sherie), Marilyn Knoffsinger (Bob); Brother’s-in-law: Ron Garner and Brent Orchard; 11 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Daughter, Terri Kay Allen Taylor, Sister, Susan Allen Orchard Garner and Grandson, Michael Allen Taylor.The family would like to express appreciation to The staff at Legacy House of Ogden and Dr. John Hemmersmeier for the care provided to Clair.A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 959 W. Forest St., Brigham City, UT on July 15, 2016 at 2:30p.m. Interment will follow at the Brigham City Cemetery. Flowers may be delivered to Provident Funeral Home Friday Morning or in the afternoon to the Kingdom Hall.
