Richard Michael Larsen, passed away March 5, 2022, surrounded by his five children and many of his grandchildren. Thankfully, nearly every grandchild was able to say their goodbyes.\n\nRichard was the oldest of six children, born to C. Michael & Melissa Jane Olsen Larsen. Richard was raised in Ogden and attended Ogden High School, and Weber State College.\n\nHe served an LDS mission to Denmark from 1961-63. He loved his mission and spoke of it often.\n\nRichard served in the Army National Guard from 1959-1967.\n\nMay 14,1963 Richard married Julie Butler, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Together they had five wonderful children. They divorced after 26 yrs. of marriage. Richard remarried 3 more times.\n\nMany different career opportunities came his way. In 1967 he joined the Ogden City Police Department. He also worked for Bank of Utah, Hercules, Meadow Gold, and Fisher Baking Co. For many years, he was a General Contractor, building and remodeling beautiful homes from 1972-1989. He passed his work ethic and quality standards, on to his son Scott. In 1981, Richard became a Real Estate agent, with Century 21 Golden Spike, Realty World, Homestead Realtors, and eventually had his own brokerage, Rich Realty. Last, but not least, he drove bus for Davis County Schools, the Deaf and Blind school, and tour bus adventures. He truly loved meeting new people and making new friends.\n\nRichard held many callings in the church as Executive Sec and Elders Quorum and Sunday school president. He also enjoyed working with the youth.\n\nHe enjoyed waterskiing, boating, snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, camping, fishing, wood working, collecting antiques, hunting porcupines (If you know, you know) and watching the Jazz.\n\nHe is survived by his children: Scott (Kristen), Jacque (Mark), Kirk, Angie, and Melissa.\n\n18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, with 2 more great grandbabies, on the way.\n\nHe is also survived by his sister Jerry (Blair), and many nieces and nephews.\n\nRichard was preceded in death by his parents, Mike & Jane Larsen. His sisters Michelle\n\n(Duayne), Janie (Dean) and brothers Kim, and Gil, also preceded him in death.\n\nPrivate graveside services will be held, for the family.\n\nThe family would like to thank our sister Jacque, brother Scott and his wife Kris for their dedicated, loving care of dad.\n\nMany thanks to the nurses at McKay Dee Hospital, especially Rachel and Shilo, and Tiffany at Inspiration Hospice.
