Phyllis Jennete Powers Obituary (1923 - 2016)

Phyllis Jennete Powers, 93 passed away at Ogden Regional Medical Center on June 11, 2016 with family by her side. She was born January 17, 1923 in Berkeley, CA to Percy Archibald and Mary Ann Jacob Watson. She married Louis E. Powers on August 6, 1942 in Reno, NV. He passed away June 24, 2003She lived and traveled extensively throughout the United States. She worked in retail sales and taught classes in quilting, ceramics and crafting. She also enjoyed reading, socializing with family and watching the Utah Jazz.Phyllis is survived by her Sons: David Powers, Roy Powers; 4 Grandchildren: Beckie Davis, Jennifer Rutherford, Jeff Powers, Michael T. Powers; 10 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Daughter Katy Baker and Daughter in law Kayie Powers.The family would like to express appreciation to the Ogden Regional Medical Center Staff, CNS Hospice, Dr. Schmitz and Dr. Ebrahimi for the care they gave to Phyllis.Private Service will be held by the family at a later date and Interment will take place in the Ben Lomond Cemetery.The family suggest donations be made to Share Inc.
