Nicholas Ray Andrews
Nicholas Ray Andrews (61), passed away on August 18, 2026. He was born on July 7, 1965, in Ogden, Utah, to his parents Lawrence Andrews and Ramona Pourier, making his home in Roy, Utah.
Nick passed away doing what he loved most—hunting with his best friend, Wade. He also had a passion for fishing and enjoyed competing in multiple fishing tournaments across the western states alongside his other best friend, Scott. Nick was a member of the Southeast Idaho Bass Anglers.
Nick worked at Barnes Aerospace for many years and had many co-workers that became great friends.
Nick enjoyed spending time with his long-term partner, Lisa, hiking and being in the mountains, and going on side-by-side rides with his daughter, Avery.
Nick always had an exceptional tact for being a sharp shooter, and he could beat anyone in a trap shoot tournament.
If you couldn’t find Nick he was either on a lake, in a duck blind, scouting for the next hunt or getting ready for the next bass tournament.
Nick was someone who lived life on his own terms and found joy in the simple things—especially spending time outdoors with the people he loved. He had a strong personality and a big heart, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Nick is survived by his daughter, Avery Andrews of Roy; his girlfriend, Lisa Neilson of Roy; his brothers, George Amiotte of WA and Francis Jacobs of Riverdale, UT; his sister, Kathleen Jacobs of CO; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Letoy Higley; his nephew Seneca Higley; and his second mother, Leah Neilson.
Nick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His family and friends will carry his memory with them and cherish the moments they shared with him.
Following Nick's wishes, Nick will be cremated and no funeral services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
