Lowell Kenneth Hayman was born in Grand Island, Hall County, NE on Sept 27 1931 to Ruth Rank Hayman and Stephan Alsinus Hayman. He passed away April 5th, 2019 following a short illness. He and his 8 siblings were raised by their mother after their father passed away during the Great Depression. He married Charlene Faye Stonehocker in Doniphan Nebraska eventually moving to Washington Terrace, Utah. They have four children; Rick (Robin), West Haven, Tim (Jill), Layton, Hal (Lori) Layton, Kerri Grosjean, SLC. 9 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren.Like most young men, he had a love of sports especially football and was part of the “Greatest High School Football Team Ever In Nebraska.” During his senior year the Lincoln, Nebraska newspapers declared them better even than the University of Nebraska and many other College level teams of that year.From that love he helped found and was President of the now named, WFFL, Wasatch Front Football League, for 15 years. He was a referee in multiple sports including as a referee with the Utah High School Athletics Assc. He worked at Hill Air Force Base retiring after 30 years. He then started delivering prescriptions to home-bound individuals for Wasatch Care Pharmacy, finally and reluctantly quitting after 25 years, only because of his own health problems.He loved his posterity, fishing trips to Alaska, pheasant hunting in Nebraska along side his brothers, watching the Huskers football games, his dogs and feeding the wild birds in his backyard.He is missed.
