Linda Louise Malan Hughes, 78, passed away August 16, 2018 at her home in Roy, UT with family at her side. She was born May 8, 1940 in Ogden, UT to Frederick W. and Mildred Blaylock Malan. Linda was the oldest daughter of their 8 children. She married E. Delon Hughes on March 6, 1959 in Ogden, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.She grew up in Ogden, UT where she received her elementary education and graduated from Ogden High School and went on to attend Business College. Together she and Delon raised their 4 children. She served as the Home-maker during those years and assisted Delon in his business ventures. She worked as the Office Manager in the family printing business. Together Delon and Linda started a very successful business with Amway. This gave her the opportunity to use her skills in speaking and training others and in marketing their business. Their involvement gave them the opportunity to travel the world including Hawaii, Virgin Islands, Mexico, Bahamas, Puerto Rico. During their travels it allowed them to interact with many people in establishing the values of Amway and developing their business to become very successful.Linda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years in the various Wards as the Organist and Pianist. Music always played a special part in her life that began at an early age.She enjoyed spending time gardening and maintaining the landscape and decorating her home. She also enjoyed sewing, making crafts, making candy and cake decorating. She was a talented seamstress which she passed on to her daughter. Her favorite pastime was spending time with the Grandchildren and spoiling them and letting them know how special they were.Linda cherished her family and is survived by her Beloved Husband of 59 years E. Delon Hughes; Children: Scott D. Hughes (Jody), Christine Louise Hughes Price (Roger), Jeffrey M. Hughes (Angie); 14 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren and Siblings: Kent Malan (Rosalyn), Anne Heninger (Earl-deceased), Phyllis Malloy (Verlin), Adele Forsgren (Sid) and John F. Malan. She was greeted on the other side of the veil by her Parents; Son: Steven Malan Hughes; Grandson: Brady J. Price; Great Grandson: Carsen D. Welch and Brothers: Scott B. Malan and Garth B. Malan.The family would like to thanks Doctors, Nurses and Staff of Symbii Hospice for the care they provided to Linda.
