Kathy Marie Endow, spirited Corvette enthusiast and self-proclaimed chili connoisseur, traded her earthly garden for a heavenly one on October 7, 2023. Born on November 18, 1954, she spent her younger years in plain city. She brought a spark of wit and humor to the world that could outshine even the flashiest muscle car. After spending the early years of her life as Kathy Davidson, she upgraded to Endow when she met her husband, Otto Jr. Together, they made their home in Ogden, Utah, where Kathy's backyard became her pride and joy and her kitchen witnessed the creation of countless batches of award-winning chili.\n\nKathy was a homemaker by trade, but her job description hardly did justice to her many talents. She could crochet a blanket faster than you could say "far out man," and she had a green thumb that could make a cactus bloom in December. She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother, and the kind of grandmother who made her grandkids believe that cookies could appear out of thin air. She also had a knack for finding the best deals while shopping with the girls, a skill that served her well during her many years as a budget-savvy housewife.\n\nAlways the life of the party, Kathy brought her unique brand of humor to everything she did. She was known for her quick wit, her funny stories, and her ability to turn even the most mundane tasks into a good time. She was a hippie at heart, and her catchphrase, "far out man," was often heard echoing through her home.\n\nKathy is survived by her husband, Otto Jr., her children, Jamie & his wife Rachel Endow, Lindsay Endow & her fiancé Matthew Roach, and Sara & her husband Brandon Rasmussen, her brother Scott Davidson, and her multiple loving grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marland and Donna Davidson, and her brothers, Mark and Donald Davidson. Her spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the stories, the laughter, and the love she leaves behind.\n\nWe invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Kathy on Tuesday, October 17th from 6-8 pm at Provident Funeral Home 3800 S Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT 84403.\nWe also encourage you to share your memories of Kathy and upload photos to her memorial page. Whether it was a shared laugh, a gardening tip, or a bowl of her famous chili, we'd love to hear about the ways she touched your life. So pull up a chair, grab a spoon, and join us in celebrating the life of a woman who made every day a little brighter, a little funnier, and a whole lot more "far out."
