Joy S. Johnson Obituary (1939 - 2017)

Joy S. Johnson, 78, passed away December 31, 2017 at her home in Washington Terrace, UT. She was born June 28, 1939 in Ogden, UT to Daniel and Florence Burnett Seegmiller. She grew up in Ogden, UT and attended Ogden Schools and graduated from Ben Lomond High School.She worked as a Truck Broker for Stanley Trucking for 20 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed camping, being a camp host at Anderson’s Cove in Huntsville, UT. She loved to sew, quilt and made every family member a quilt. She liked to do puzzles, cross word puzzles, ceramics and crafts. She loved family gatherings at Holidays. She was excited with the Birth of Grand Kids and Great Grand Kids. She collected Elvis Memorabilia and loved her Christmas Tree decorated with Elvis ornaments. Visiting Graceland was a highlight of her life.Joy is survived by her children: Dennis Johnson (Katy), Douglas Johnson (Pat), Richard Johnson(Lisa), Laurie Weiss (Steve), David Johnson (Taryn); 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren with 1 on the way; 1 Great Great Grandchild and Brother: Dale Seegmiller (Marie).Graveside Services will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT. Friends may greet family at the cemetery at time of service.
