Jorge Heriberto Villacis passed away May 29, 2016 at his home in Roy, Utah with his family by his side. He was born January 30, 1927 in Pillaro, Ecuador to Emilio Villacis and Francisca Fonseca. He married Carmen Espin in 1949 in Quito, Ecuador. She preceded him in death on November 7, 1986.He grew up and was educated in Ecuador. He was a very hard worker, always looking for work that would provide for his family. He came to the United States to reside in Roy, UT in 2001 until the time of his death.Jorge was a member of the Baptist Faith and attended Washington Heights Baptist Church where he enjoyed making many friends there. Even though his English was limited he could follow along with his Spanish Bible and could understand what was going on. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in Ecuador at the age of 50. He has always tried to follow his teaching, especially by serving and helping his fellow man.He loved to watch Football, taking walks and later in life learned to play computer games. He was a very kind, loving person with a great sense of humor. He enjoyed playing tricks on his grandkids or anyone else he could. He enjoyed helping other people in any way. If they needed the windows cleaned, pulling weeds or a kind word and a smile he was there to do it.The family would like to thank the many Doctors, Nurses, IHC Hospice and all that have provided care for Jorge and for the kindness and respect they have shown to him.He is survived by his children: Maria G. Villacis, Adela E. Villacis (Marco Merizalde), Sylvia Villacis, Amparito Villacis, Patricia Montalvo (Elias) and Alba Chacon (Hector). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
