James K. Wood passed away January 13, 2015. He was born September 15, 1946 in Brigham City, Utah. He is the son of W. E. Wood and Iris Woodyatt Wood. He attended Weber County Schools and Graduated from Weber High School in 1964.He married the love of his life, Trudy Royster Wood on May 12, 1967. They had two sons, Jason and Jeremy.Jim had a successful career at Hill Air Force Base. He held various positions and ended his career as a supervisor in ICBM. He also served time in the Army National Guard.Jim was an accomplished bowler and golfer, having bowled two 300 games as well as scored two hole in ones. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a diehard Nascar fan. He loved attending his grandkids’ soccer games and was a big supporter of his grandson’s soccer team Crossfire, where all of the kids called him G-PA. We will miss him and his favorite expressions, “Don’t go there”, and The whole nine yards”.Jim is survived by his son Jason J (Michelle); three grandchildren, BayLee, Jessie, and JT; brothers and sisters, Robert Wood, Anne (Dave) Nelson, Jeanne (Jim) Combe, Nancy Beard, and John (Debra) Wood. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife, and son Jeremy.Please come and celebrate Jim’s life at the Hilton Garden Inn, 23rd and Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT, Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm.
