Heather Marie Tebbs Kay passed away October 28, 2016 in Ogden, UT. She was born August 2, 1963 in Tremonton, UT to James Kyle and Sandra Allen Tebbs. She married Kenneth Lynn Dillree and to this union they were blessed with 2 sons. They later divorced. She later married Dennis Blaine Kay and to this union he brought his 4 children.Heather grew up in Tremonton, UT where she received her early elementary education and graduated from Bear River High School. Through her life she continued her higher education, attending Brigham Young University, Weber State University, and The University of Utah. Learning was always an important part of her life. Her love of friends and family led her to research many subjects, using the acquired knowledge to be a resource to them. In her professional life, she worked for many years as a Civil Engineering Designer with Bush and Gudgell Civil Engineers, Inc.Heather had a very artistic mind and used this ability to beautify her world. She was always seeking ways to reach out to others. Heather enjoyed the friendships of like-minded volunteers who were also helping others. Most recently, she used her talents in many ways as a volunteer at Overeaters Anonymous “OA”.Heather had many interests and hobbies. She learned to play the Viola, was knowledgeable in nutritional cooking, enjoyed sewing and became a talented seamstress. She enjoyed outdoor activities with her family, including sailing, camping and backpacking. She enjoyed Family History, savoring many stories of our ancestors. Heather always sought to be a part of the lives of her children and grandchildren, playing with and teaching them. She had a dry, witty sense of humor and a contagious laugh which was shared with other family members.She leaves to cherish her memory her Husband Dennis Blaine Kay; Son, Justin K Dillree; Father, James Kyle Tebbs; Step-Children: Jared Kay (Mandi), Alyssa Kay, Ryan Kay (Katie Wals), Adrienne Garcia (Kevin); Siblings: Kass Tebbs, Dan Tebbs, Fielding Tebbs (Gayle), Craig Tebbs (Angela), Susan Christensen (Matthew) and Grandchildren: Panda, Ethan, Darius, Kodiak and Cinnamon and a host of nieces and nephews including Sara, Brett and Shel, with whom she had formed a special relationship. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Sandra Allen Tebbs and her Son, Jaren Kenneth Dillree.A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:30p.m. at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 South Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. A visitation will be held prior from 1:00-2:30p.m.Family appreciates flowers or donations to local “OA” groups or to the LDS Church Missionary Fund.
