Gorden H. Johansen passed away after a long battle with Kidney Failure July 30, 2016 at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT. He was born July 10, 1943 in Spanish Fork, UT to Harold Glen Beryle and Claudia Longson Johansen. He married Patricia Coates in Mt. Pleasant, UT on November 5, 1966 and to this union were born their 3 children. They later divorced. He married Linda Riley on February 12, 2003 in Elko, NV.He was raised in Mt. Pleasant where he attended his elementary education and attended Wasatch Academy and graduated from North Sanpete High School. After graduation he attended Carbon College where he received his training as a welder. Gordon used that skill to support his family. He traveled all over the state as well as the Western United States completing many welding jobs.Gorden was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to go fishing and hunting in his leisure time. He was known to be a private person and had a great sense of humor that came out once in a while.He is survived by his wife: Linda; children: Terrie Edwards, Glen Johansen (Cassie), Wayne Johansen; 5 grandchildren and 1 sister Glenna Stuart. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Larue Christensen and nephew Jimmy Stuart.Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
