Frank Allen Gailey, Jr. “Junior”, 63, passed away August 26, 2018 from complications from Double Pneumonia at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT with family at his side. He was born September 13, 1954 in Ogden, UT to Frank Allen and Elsie Yvonne Horspool Gailey.He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was very proud of being a Veteran and supported their cause by making donations to the military as well as rescue workers. He married the love of his life Carey Dawn Palmer on April 10, 1999 and they were sealed in the Ogden Temple in 2007.Frank had a love of guns and old cars and loved racing cars. He enjoyed fishing and camping and spending time in the “Great Outdoors”. He loved his family and friends with his whole heart.He is survived by his Wife: Carey Dawn Gailey; Children: Tonia Jackson (Troy), Steven Gailey; 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; Siblings: Jerry Gailey (Debbie), Patsy Gailey, Eric Gailey, Shelley Bolan and Dog and Friend Thor. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Step-Mother: Elaine; Sister: Julie Gailey Maestas and Dog Shadow Bug.The family would like to express appreciation to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Intermountain Medical Center, especially Nurses: Pyper, Josh, Rhonda, Jordan and Bryn; Dr. Gilroy and Dr. Boschert and the Transplant Team and any others that helped provide care for Frank.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. A Viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Ogden, UT where Military Honors will be accorded.
