Elizabeth Gregson

–

Farmington, Utah

Elizabeth Ann Gregson, known lovingly as "Ann," was an example of dedication, compassion, and faith, whose love for others impacted the lives of many. Born on February 26, 1948, in Salt Lake City, UT, Ann was raised in Schenectady, NY with her parents and five siblings. She attended Brigham Young University where she met her husband, Donald (Don) Gregson. They were married in Cardston, Alberta, Canada on June 1st, 1968. In addition to raising six children, Ann helped run the family business, The Foodland, taught as an aerobics instructor and worked as an elementary school secretary. She was a gifted bank examiner, with the State of Utah, where she used her talent for numbers and problem-solving. She enjoyed her work and the regular travel it afforded her to New York City and Chicago. Ann and Don loved to travel, taking many trips around the world with family and friends. She retired in 2018, allowing her to pursue her many hobbies of puzzles, quilting, drawing, baking, chocolate-making, piano-playing and snow skiing.

A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ann held several roles including that of Relief Society President, Young Women President, Stake Young Women President, and most recently, as chorister. Don and Ann served a mission for the church as ushers at Temple Square, exemplifying their commitment to service and faith.

Ann was a smart, talented woman, yet her most cherished accomplishment was her family as the mother of six children, sixteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Ann always put her family first, showing her love through acts of service. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Gregson; her children, Darin Gregson (Alison), Jeff Gregson (Kristen), Brent Gregson (Amy), Shaunie Decker (Jeroen) Daina Crowell (Sherman), and Ryan Gregson (Liz); her siblings, Jay Burnett (Lori), Doug Burnett (Patti), and Lori Wood (Craig) and sister-in-law, Karla (Greg). Ann is preceded in death by her parents, J and Verna Burnett, her brothers, Greg and Mark Burnett and by her grandson, Dylan Gregson.

Her spirit, warmth, and unwavering dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. If you have a memory or photo of Ann you would like to share, we invite you to contribute to her memorial page, celebrating the remarkable life she led and the legacy she leaves behind.
