It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear family member. On June 25, 2023, Donald Warren Johnson left this life due to a number of medical problems. \n \nBorn on March 4, 1956, in Saratoga Springs, NY, and having spent his recent years in Roy, Utah, Don lived a life characterized by courage, compassion, and a ceaseless commitment to his loved ones. \n\nDon embodied this spirit throughout his lifetime. He served his country with honor and pride in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict, and his patriotism was a beacon that illuminated every aspect of his life. He was also the owner-operator of a successful construction transportation business, which was a testament to his industrious nature and entrepreneurial spirit. \n\nOn July 4th 2016, he married Dyann Garside-Heseltine and gained a lovable, but rowdy, family. He got in-laws and outlaws as a package deal that he loved as his own. Don was gregarious, sweet, loving and generous. He accepted all of us upon meeting each member of his newfound family.\n\nWe will miss him every day.\n\nWe invite all those who knew and loved Donald to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Each story and picture serves as a testament to a life well-lived and a man dearly loved. While we may weep for his absence, let us also celebrate his life, for as Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Donald made us feel loved, and that is a feeling we will carry with us forever.
