Desiree Bernadette Apodaca, 49, passed away January 3, 2016 at McKay Dee Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 7, 1966 in Ogden, Utah to Joseph Lee and Ginger Falcone Apodaca. She was raised by her mother and step father Henry F. Garcia and had a very special relationship with him.She grew up in Ogden and attended her first few years of education in Ogden and then moved to Layton where she continued her education a graduated from Layton High School. She worked for a number of years in Home Health Care where she devoted her time in caring for her patients with great care and respect.Desiree was a member of the Catholic Faith and also felt a very spiritual connection by communing with the Angels. She loved to surround herself with her angel figurines she had collected over the years. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her children and grandchildren. They meant the world to her. She also enjoyed taking trips to Wendover with family and friends.The family would like to thank the many Doctors, Nurses and Staff from McKay Dee Hospital for their care of Desiree for many years and well as many family members and friends that loved and visited her.She is survived by her Children: Ginger Marie Polina, Angelo Demetry, Joseph Henry Gurule, Richard Keano Salas Jr., and Bobbie Joan Morris; 8 Grandchildren; her parents and siblings: Athena Apodaca and Joey Apodaca. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents.\n\nA celebration of her life will be held at a later date to be announced by her family.\n\nThe family would appreciate donations be made to the Funeral Home to help with expenses.
