Ogden – Debora Kay Perkins, 53, passed away January 2, 2016 at her home in Ogden. She was born July 8, 1962 in Fremont, CA to John and Beverly Hart Scott. She was married to Michael J. Perkins and Jeff Jones. Even though these relationships ended, she remained friends with both and had reunited with Michael during the last few months of her life, which brought a lot of comfort and joy to her.She grew up in Morgan, UT and has resided in Ogden for the last 30 plus years. She worked as a Loan Officer for many years in the Home Loan Mortgage industry. She dedicated the past 5 years of her life to the Christian faith and found her religious home with the Alpine Church. Deb was brought to Alpine Church by her close friend Dr. Kris Obah, whom encouraged and supported Deb through some of the toughest times of her life.Deb was very artistic and enjoyed doing arts and crafts, refinishing furniture, reading a good book, a good game of scrabble and spending time with her family. Her family was her whole life and especially her grandchildren with which she had a special bond with each one and loved them very much.Deb was such a kind and loving person. She would do anything she could for you without giving it a second thought. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.She is survived by her children: Sara Pentz, Rachael Kapple (Dean); Grandchildren: Jamie, Sadie, Kenzlee and Arlynn; Siblings: Liz Quintana (Phil), Pam (Twin Sister) Weir (Jeff), and Eric Scott (Cher). She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Beverly Scott and her Sister Susan Brons.Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 1:00p.m. at the Layton Alpine Church, 254 West 2675 North, Layton, UT.The family appreciates any donations to help with funeral expenses.
