Deanna Joye Grissinger Obituary (1938 - 2015)

Deanna Joye Grissinger passed away May 23, 2015 in Ogden UT. She was born July 23, 1938 in Ogden, UT to Paul and Virginia Gibson Shepherd. Joye married Don Gerhardt in 1956 and they later divorced. She later married the love of her life Scott Grissinger in 1967 and he preceded her in death July 7, 1982. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved to crochet hot pads for the kitchen and make Afghans. She loved to go camping and her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. In the last part of her time here with us she loved spending time with “Little Man” her great grandson. He was her pride and joy. She is survived by her children: Arley Ginn (Lori), Dolli Hughes (Frank), Donna Owens, Darla Snider (John), Judy Kerns (Rodney), Jesse Hixon, Jake Grissinger (Suzie), Paul Grissinger; 50 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Maxine Ginn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Bobby Shepherd and Freddy Robertson. The family would like to give special thanks to Jesse Hixon for taking care of mom for the last 8 years. She loved you very much. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. with a time of sharing at 7pm at Affordable Funeral and Cremation Solutions 3800 South Washington, Ogden. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Jason to help cover funeral expenses
