David Earnest McClain

David Earnest McClain, 72, passed away May 18, 2016 in Ogden, UT. He was born July 16, 1943 in Salt Lake City, UT to David Robert and Gloria Fonda Hancock McClain. He married Bonnie Wayment September 24, 1970 in Ely, NV.He attended Weber State University. He honorably served his country in the United States Airforce for 27 years and worked at Hill Airforce Base as a Machinist and Design Drafter.David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the outdoors whether he was out camping or fishing. He loved spending time with his family and any get together and was very skilled with computers and video games. He was a mild easy going and kind hearted person and in the words of his son Tim “He was and Amazing man and my hero”He is survived by his Wife, Children: Ryan (Charity), Eric, Tim (Nicole) McClain and Kimberly Stephens (Jason); 10 grandchildren: Heather, Coltin, Taylor, Payton, Logan, Adee, JJ, Kennadee, Violet and Scarlett and Siblings: Robert Elly), Paul, Pat and James McClain, Pat Kirkland (Steve) and Bonnie Booth and lots of nieces, nephews and friends that loved him.Visitation will be held Monday, May 23 2016 from 6-8p.m. at Provident Funeral Home 3800 South Washington Blvd., Ogden.
