Curtis Connelly Obituary (1978 - 2024)

Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Curtis Aaron Connelly, passed away on April 27, 2024 at the age of 46. Curtis was born on April 13, 1978. Curtis is survived by his parents, Tony and Anne Connelly, his brothers J Ryan Connelly (Becky) and Michael Connelly (Heather), and his sister-in-law Julia Connelly (Willie Ericksen). Curtis is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He was a proud and loving uncle who adored his nieces and nephews: Easton Connelly, Jaydon Connelly, Olivia Connelly, Anthony J. Connelly, Cohen Connelly, Cooper Connelly, Kevin Larson, Tyler Larson, Allison Larson, and Nathan Larson. He loved his family with a fierce intensity and cherished time with each one. He was always the one to plan get-togethers and make plans for holidays and birthdays and whatever else he could come up with. Curtis was bigger than life. He always made sure that everyone else was happy, well-fed, and taken care of physically and mentally, while never ever asking for help for himself. He was successful in so many ways. He was smart, full of wisdom, a good conversationalist, and excelled in his occupation as a chef. His coworkers were more like family to him. He made friends wherever he went, no matter what job, sport he watched or played, he had a friend. He learned so many life lessons in his short time on this earth. He was Student Body President at Bonneville High School in 1995-1996. He had so many good friends because he was a good friend. Our family is so grateful for these great friends, reaching out to us and sharing so many wonderful memories. He loved adventure, if there was something he wanted to do – he did it all the way. Whether it was the biggest adventure on the river in a canoe or be the fastest ice skater on his team, if he wanted to do something he did it. He lived life wholeheartedly. He was kind and inclusive with everyone. Was so generous with love, gifts, time, pickleball, hockey, whatever it was he was all in for each of us. Curt suffered most from alcohol addiction, which finally took its toll on him. Our family would like to thank all his many friends in the recovery community, especially his sponsor and his sponsor’s wife, for helping him when he needed them the most. We are grateful that he was able to make an impact on many in recovery as well. There was a memorial held on, Monday, May 20, 2024. Thank you to all who came to share and celebrate Curtis with us.
