Connie Sweeney

–

Riverdale, Utah

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Connie Sweeney, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. Born on June 29, 1938, in Orangeville, UT, Connie left us on November 19, 2025, while residing in North Ogden, Utah. She lived a full life as a wonderful mother, a successful business owner, and an adored grandmother, leaving behind beautiful memories etched in the hearts of those she loved.

Connie was a truly unique individual, a blend of strength, compassion, and creativity. Her thoughtful nature shone through her every action, whether it was running her beloved deli/eatery (Cone Castle and Deli) and Tan Perfect tanning salon, or caring for friends and family, or knitting hats in her later years. As a young woman, she offered her caring services at the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City as a CNA, cherishing her moments with the newborns. Her love for her family was her guiding light. Her children, Brooke and Susan, were her pride and joy, and her love further extended to their children, who she adored as her own. Her marriage to Donald L. Sweeney, popularly known as 'Con-Don', was filled with adventures, love, and companionship.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Alta Curtis, her beloved daughter Susan Montgomery, her sister Viola LaRae Mitchel, and her husband Donald Sweeney. She is survived by her son Brooke Banta, her brother Ronald Curtis, her half-brother Mitch Curtis, her cherished grandchildren, Tempest Lee, Dillon Montgomery, Sara Rogers, Cassie Knoll, and Colt Banta. Each one of them will continue to feel her influence and love in their lives, cherishing the times spent together and the lessons learned from her.

Connie's life will be celebrated with a viewing on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm MST at Provident Funeral Home - Ogden located at 3800 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, 84403. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm MST. Interment to follow at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park located at 100 North Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404.

We are grateful for the years we were able to share with Connie, and we invite you to leave your memories and upload photos of her on the memorial page. Your stories and images are the testament of the life she lived and the people she touched.
