Morgan, Utah
Burke Clyde Roseman passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1963 to Guy and Lucille Roseman. He was the youngest of their three children. As a child, he loved to ride with his grandfather, Cevero Robison, on his horse Blaze. He spent summers playing with the neighborhood kids, winters sledding with cousins, and riding shotgun with his dad wherever he had to go. He graduated from Morgan High School. In his 20’s he worked hard to become a black belt in Hapkido. He worked various jobs, such as mending fences as a teenager, cutting wood at Schumakers, working on oil rigs in Wyoming, drywalling with his brother-in-law, a security guard for the Ogden Temple, and working in several call centers.
He attended Weber State University in their Professional Sales and Business program, and met his future wife, Janalene Dana. They were married in Ogden, UT, in the Lorin Farr Ward, where he served in the bishopric as second counselor with Bishop Norda. A year later, they went to the Salt Lake City Temple to be sealed together.
Temple work became important to Burke; he often went weekly and even became an ordinance worker at the Ogden Temple. While serving as a security guard, he had several precious experiences which strengthened his love of the blessings of the temple. He helped his parents receive their temple blessings and, as a proxy, helped to seal his parents to their parents, linking generations. He also served as a greeter at the Bountiful Temple open house.
Burke and Janalene became parents when their oldest daughter was born. After she turned one, they moved back to Morgan, giving their children the opportunity to grow up in a small town. Their family grew as they welcomed two sons and another daughter. Burke liked taking the family shooting at the rifle range, fishing along the river, spending hours at the park pushing kids on swings, and always being ready for a movie night, or blanket show as he called it, because he would fall asleep.
Burke was diagnosed with diabetes as an adult. His family history of it made it no surprise, but ultimately it led to many compounding health problems resulting in his death. The family thanks the staff at Rocky Mountain Care- Clearfield for their compassionate care of Burke in his final weeks.
Burke was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Tori and Toni. He is survived by his children Chelsea (Jordan) Nielson, Derrek (Dtahany), Jarom, and Emma. He has six (soon to be seven) grandchildren.
Burke will be laid to rest on Wednesday, October 21st at the South Morgan Cemetery. Weather permitting, family and friends will celebrate his life at 1:00 pm with a bubble send-off.
