Blaine Dee Furgeson, 76, passed away December 25, 2017 at Pineview Transitional Rehabilitation Center in South Ogden, UT. He was born September 9, 1941 in Ogden, UT to George Harold and Juanita Pearl Heninger Furgeson. He married Nayla Jones and to this union they were blessed with 6 Children. They later divorced. He married Carol Jean Smith and to this union she brought her 3 Children.He grew up and lived in the Ogden area most of his life. He received his elementary education in Ogden Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. He went on to attend Stevens-Henager College and received an Associates Degree. He was a Controller in the Automotive Sales Industry for 50 years combined working for Peterson Motors and Cutrubus Motors.Blaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel. He Served a mission to Scotland and as an Executive Secretary in the Stake Presidency. He enjoyed getting out and visiting the sick and was an avid racquetball player. He loved his camping trips with family to China Meadows and Deer hunts. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his Children and Grandchildren.He is survived by his Wife of 31 years Carol Jean Hickenlooper Furgeson; Children: Gordon D. Furgeson (Heidi), Cyndi Duke (Mark), Kenny Furgeson (Michelle), Heather Furgeson, Becky Tesch (Bryan), Alan Furgeson (Katie); Step-Children: Tammi Jean Ford, Justan Smith, Jason Smith; 16 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren; Brothers: Ralph Furgeson (Leale) and John Furgeson (Mary). He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother Leon Furgeson (Dianne) and Grandson Stein Blaine FurgesThe family would like to express appreciation to Pine View Rehabilitation Care Center, especially Earl, Leiane, Steve and Solace for their care given to Blaine.Funeral Services will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at the Riverdale 5th Ward LDS Chapel, 3950 Parker Drive, Riverdale, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30a.m. Interment will follow at the Ben Lomand Cemetery.
