Artell Miller Brailsford, 94, passed away with her daughter by her side on August 26, 2016 from incidents of age. Artell was born to Ole Sylvanus and Jensine Nelson Miller on May 26, 1922. She was born, raised, and educated in the Bear River Valley. She was the 7th of 11 children. On April 8, 1944, Artell married Jesse Grant Brailsford. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Logan Temple on July 27, 1950. Two children were born to Jesse and Artell: Grant (deceased), and Rose Ann (Gary) Jones.Artell worked for 23 years as a cook in the Bear River Elementary School. She was a fabulous cook! While her granddaughter, Tamara, lived in Utah Artell cooked Sunday dinner for them each week.Artell loved to work in her flower garden, do needle work, bowl, and go camping and fishing with her husband, children, and grandchildren. When her grandchildren came to visit, she loved taking them to Willow Park and Zoo.Artell was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her favorite callings were as the Primary secretary and as a Primary teacher.Surviving are her daughter, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and her brother, Lyle. Her parents, 9 siblings, husband, son, and a grandson preceded her in death.A viewing will be held in the Bear River LDS ward building on Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 9:30-10:30a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11:00. Interment will be at the Bear River City Cemetery.The family would like to thank Artell’s neighbors for helping and caring for her for many years and AFI Advance Care Hospice.
