Alice Silva

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Alice Silva, affectionately known by her grandchildren and loved ones as "G-mama", on September 12, 2026. Born on March 12, 1939, in San Francisco, California, Alice was a captivating beacon of love and laughter, her spirit as vibrant and lively as the city of her birth. Her infectious humor, boundless love, and unwavering loyalty will be remembered and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Alice was a living embodiment of the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Alice made everyone feel loved, cherished, and valued.

In the 87 years of her adventurous journey, Alice relocated to Sunset, Utah, where she spent the last decade of her memorable life. She was a dedicated food service worker at a local assisted living center, where she not only served meals but also countless warm smiles and hearty laughs. Alice was more than an employee; she was a friend, a confidante, and a source of comfort and joy to all residents and staff. Her work ethic, combined with her loving and funny nature, brightened the lives of everyone around her. Alice was a firm believer in Mark Twain's saying, "The secret of success is making your vocation your vacation."

Alice was a devoted mother to her children, Mikel, Ronald, and Kelly Smith, who survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jauquin and Maria Silva. Alice's love for her family was boundless and unwavering. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was theirs. She was their rock in times of trouble, their guide in moments of uncertainty, and their biggest cheerleader in all their undertakings.
